You must understand and acknowledge that you may be in violation of your governing laws if you breach any of these terms and conditions.
What is the difference between Download and Streaming?
The difference between downloading a movie and streaming is simple: Streaming allows users to watch a movie as it is sent from our servers to their computer in a close approximation to real time, with only a short buffering period to begin. Viewers are limited only by their connection speed and network congestion; better connection speeds allow higher quality video streams. Downloaded movies reside on your PC, therefore not encountering the same connection speed limitations as streaming video although the length of time for download may vary based upon similar metrics like your connection speed and overall connection quality. Unlike streaming content, download titles require you to wait for the movie to download in its entirety to your computer (this may take a while) but the downloaded video will allow for higher quality viewing experience.
What if I want to change my account information or reset my password?
For any changes to your information, to get your password resent to you, or check the status of your account, log in and click "My Account".
What is my connection speed how is it determined and how does that impact the movies that I can watch?
When you log into our site, we automatically detect your current internet connection speed, and this speed is used to determine the corresponding media (movie) file for viewing. You will be provided with the movie file that is appropriate for your bandwidth. For more information about adjusting your connection speed, see the Connection Speed / Bitrate FAQ section.

Connection Speed / Bitrate

What is a bitrate?
Bitrate describes the rate at which bits are transferred from one location to another and is measured in kilobits per second (kbps). In the case of streaming multimedia, the bitrate measurement determines the connection speed that is required for the file to play without interruptions. The rule of thumb for bitrate is that larger bitrate numbers result in higher-quality videos. Keep in mind that higher bitrate files require higher bandwidth connection speeds.
Why is my connection speed detected?
Your connection speed is detected in order to determine the associated movie file that is provided to you for Pay-Per-Minute. This value will be used to select the default bitrate for any given movie or scene. In the event the connection speed does not match the available bitrates for a particular movie, Theater will select the closest bitrate to the member's connection speed rounded down.
What happens if I cancel the connection speed detection process?
If you cancel out of the connection speed detection, you will be prompted to select a bitrate when you play your first movie. The system will store your selection as the default for the remainder of your session.
Can I choose a different bitrate?
Yes. If the movie that you would like to play has additional bitrates available, you will find arrows beside the media player buttons for that movie.
Play and bitrate selection buttons
When you click those arrows, a dropdown list of all the available bitrates for that specific movie will appear, with your default bitrate selected.
Bitrate drop down menu
To change the bitrate, click the bitrate you would like and your media player will begin playing in that bitrate. Keep in mind that larger bitrate numbers result in higher-quality videos which require higher bandwidth connection speeds.
Can I search for movies by bitrate?
Yes. The advanced search options for both movies and scenes will allow you to filter your search by three different bitrate categories:
  • High Definition High Definition ≥ 6000 kbps
  • High Quality High Quality = 4000 kbps
  • Standard Definition Standard Definition < 4000 kbps
What browsers support the connection speed detection process?
Bitrate detection functionality is only available for Mozilla / Firefox and Internet Explorer users. Safari and Chrome are not supported.

What software and operating system do I need?
You will need Windows Media Player, version 9 or greater. Supported operating systems include Windows 98 SE, 2000, XP, and Vista.
What is the Free Download Manager and how can it help me?
To assist in downloading movies with large file sizes we recommend using "Free Download Manager". This is a free utility that is maintained by a third party that can be found at http://www.freedownloadmanager.org. This utility will help you if you need to stop and resume in the middle of a download and can also streamline the download process so that it is more efficient.

You should be familiar with how to find and save files to a specific directory on your computer if you choose to use this tool. You should also note that Free Download Manager may attempt to rename the file download to DownloadManager.aspx. You can manually override the file name or rename the file once it has been downloaded.

Free Download Manager has a preview mode for viewing video files, but this option is not compatible with our current video encryption process and will not work with our movies.
Can I use other Download Managers?
You can use any Download Manager that you like as long as the application is a plug-in type of utility for Internet Explorer or Firefox. Applications that require URLs to be passed directly to the application will not work with our movies because of our security model.

The Firefox browser has a download manager included as a feature.
I use a Mac. Will downloads work for me?
Unfortunately, if you are using a Mac OS, you will not be able to view any of our downloadable content as we include Microsoft's Digital Rights Management (DRM) coding within each download that is not compatible with Macs. However; this content is not precluded from you as a Mac user. You should be able to view most of our streaming content by using the Flip4Mac plugin or you can choose to download Realplayer.
What connection speed do I need to download the movies?
It is recommended that only broadband (Cable, xDSL, Satellite) connections be used for downloading our files as the length of time required to completely transfer these files from our networks to your computer will vary. Downloads attempted from a standard 56k dial-up or other narrow-band connection will most likely not be successful. Here is a handy chart that will give a reasonable expectation based upon file size versus connection speeds:

What is "Download to Own"?
Unlike a "Download Rental", that you download once and can watch many times until the rental license expires, a "Download to Own" will never expire. The first time you play the movie, your Windows Media Player will acquire a license from our server and store it on your computer for you. From then on, you may watch the movie on that computer as much as you want, even without a network connection. You may download one movie on up to three computers, and Windows Media Player will acquire a license for each. At any time, you may go to "My Account" and choose "My Purchases" then click the Downloads tab to see how many licenses remain for each of your "Download To Own" movies.
Can I copy my "Download to Own" movie to other computers?
You may copy or download the movie to more than one computer up to a total of 3 instances. Each time a new computer plays the movie, that computer's Windows Media Player will acquire a license from our servers for the movie and store it for that computer. This licensing process allows for a single movie to be installed to a single computer 3 times or once to 3 separate computers.
I accidentally deleted my "Download to Own" movie. What do I do?
You may download the same "Download To Own" movie to your computer again, provided you have remaining licenses and there are no corruptions within your Windows Media Player. From "My Account", simply choose "My Purchases" and click the Downloads tab and you may begin your download process again. Windows Media Player should recognize that your download is the same and will use the license it stored previously from the first time your movie was viewed. This new download should not use any of your remaining licenses.
I accidentally deleted my "Download Rental". What do I do?
You may download the same "Download Rental" as many times as you like until your rental expires. There is no licensing as would be involved in our standard Download To Own titles, however; Once your rental period has expired, you may no longer download the movie and previously downloaded copies will no longer play.
What is the pricing for a download movie?
Prices for downloading movies will vary for the 7-day, 30-day "Download Rental", and "Download to Own" options and may not be the same for all titles. AEBN's pricing is determined in part by the respective studios that produce these movies and may be under specific pricing specifications. You are free to browse individual movies to verify its pricing and available purchasing options.
How do I know how much time I have left?
Log in to your AEBN Account, choose "My Account" and then "My Purchases" followed by clicking the Downloads tab ". Here you will find your chosen title(s) and how much longer you may view them until your rental period expires.
Once I have downloaded the movie how do I watch it?
Navigate to where you saved the movie on your computer and double-click the file to play it.

XXX 2 Burn FAQ

Getting Started with XXX 2 Burn
You will need to meet the following requirements to use XXX 2 Burn:

Internet Connectivity

We recommend a high-speed Internet connection such as cable or DSL. The process of creating a DVD requires a great deal of data to be downloaded and processed.

DVD-Writer

You will need a DVD-Writer (DVD-R or DVD+R drive) installed in your computer and a writable DVD. Note that not all DVD players support all DVD+Rs and DVD-Rs; we recommend that you check your user's manual for your DVD player to determine which formats are supported before attempting to create your media with XXX 2 Burn.

XXX 2 Burn Software

Our XXX 2 Burn software, ObjectCube, must be downloaded and installed on your computer. This software will allow you to download movies and burn them to DVD. You are required to have approximately 10 gigabytes of free hard drive space in order to create a DVD. Currently, our software runs only on computers running Microsoft Windows 2000, XP, and Vista 32-bit (the 64-bit version of Vista is not supported).

Color Printer (Optional)

Depending on your preferences, you may also want a color printer if you wish to reproduce the artwork supplied with your media; additionally, you may also want to have one or more specialty purpose paper types for printing cover art and labels.
Will XXX 2 Burn work on a Mac?
No. Unfortunately, XXX 2 Burn is not available to Mac users.
How do I select which drive will be used to create my DVD?
Using the XXX 2 Burn ObjectCube software, go to the "Options" menu. Select the "Device Options" tab where you can select your DVD-writer. The very first time that you use the software the DVD-writer is not selected, and after you choose the correct device your computer will remember your selection for subsequent use. If you select a device that will not create DVDs, such as selecting a CD-writer by mistake, you will be prompted to select another device instead.
What does "Simulate before writing" mean? What happens if I check this box in the Recorder Options tab?
This feature allows you to verify that your system will properly write the disc that you have selected prior to actually burning the DVD. Your software settings will be verified, including the selected speed and if any issues are found you will be prompted to make adjustments. Once the verification process has completed the process of burning a DVD will automatically begin.
What does "Use Safe Burn" mean? What happens if I check this box in the Recorder Options tab?
"Safe Burn" is a technology that is a feature of most of the newer CD-RWs on the market. The process is intended to allow the CD-writer or DVD-writer to use its own safety settings to prevent things like buffer overrun and data corruption, and typically burns at a slower speed. With this box unchecked the CD/DVD writer will not use these safety precautions.
If my download or burn fails, or if I lose my connection, will I need to re-purchase the DVD and download everything again?
Fortunately, no. Our software uses a series of internal markers that will allow you to log back in and reconnect. This will allow you to continue the process without starting from the beginning. If you experience a problem, simply return to the XXX 2 Burn page of the "My Account" area and click on the download link again. The software will automatically launch and pick up after the last completed track and finish things from that point.
How fast is my CD/DVD writer?
The owner's manual that came with your CD or DVD writer should provide this information, even if you purchased your computer as a single bundled grouping of components. In most cases you should be able to verify the speed by looking at the front of your CD/DVD drive component.
How long should it take to create a DVD?
DVDs contain much more data than CDs but it is still feasible to create a DVD quickly. You will need a persistent internet connection to create DVDs. Using a cable modem, the download time needed to create a full-length DVD will take about one and a half hours. DSL speeds vary, but have been tested at as little as 90 minutes over a 6 megabit DSL. The DVD creation process generally takes about30 minutes with a 4x DVD-RW and could be as little as 8 minutes with a 16x DVD-RW.
How much hard drive space do I need to create a DVD?
Our software utilizes approximately 10 gigabytes of free space on your hard drive during the process of creating a DVD. Upon completion of the DVD the space will again be available on your hard drive.
How do I set the printing options to print the disc label and the case art?
Under the "Options" menu, select the Print Setup tab. From there you will find two drop down selection boxes. The first one will allow you to select the Disc Label paper type. Click on the drop down arrow and you will be able to access the label options we now support. The second drop down is for the case paper type. Again, you will be able to access the paper types that we currently support. Note that you can print the artwork on any type of paper that you like, however; your paper selection ma reduce the quality of the artwork.
What equipment do I need to be able to watch these DVDs?
The video DVDs produced by the XXX 2 Burn ObjectCube software should play in most current DVD players including those designed to work with a computer or other media. However, older model DVD players may not be able to play all types of writable DVDs. Typically a system will either play DVD-Rs or DVD+Rs, with DVD+RW and DVD-RW being generally less compatible. In most cases the displayed models will be indicated by a logo on the DVD player but you should consult your user manual for specific specs regarding the type of DVD it will play.
